Camphive is a free guide to camping in the US. Using it means you agree to these ground rules.
Use the information at your own judgment
Campground details change constantly — fees, closures, fire rules, road conditions, and land access can all differ from what's listed. Camphive combines official data with community contributions, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate or current. Always verify critical details with the managing agency before you go, especially fire restrictions and road access. You are responsible for your own safety, your vehicle, and complying with the rules of the land you're on.
Your contributions
Only share spots, photos, and information you have the right to share, and that are legal to camp at. Don't post private land as a camping spot.
By contributing, you give Camphive permission to display and distribute your contributions within the service, credited to your profile name.
We may edit, merge, or remove contributions to keep the database accurate and safe.
Accounts and fair use
Keep your account credentials to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account.
No spam, vandalism, scraping at scale, harassment, or attempts to break or abuse the service.
We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or the community.
The service itself
Camphive is provided as-is, free of charge, with no warranties. We do our best to keep it available and accurate, but we're not liable for losses arising from your use of it — including decisions made based on listed information. Features may change or be discontinued.
